When you’re a member of Coteau Valley Federal Credit Union, you’re not just a customer but part-owner of your credit union. Member assets are pooled to provide loans and other financial services to fellow members.
Credit unions are not-for-profit, which means that instead of dividends going to shareholders, the profits are put back into the credit union to bring members lower fees and better rates.
Coteau Valley Federal Credit Union was founded as a federally chartered credit union in November of 1950. The initial field of membership was to include any local famers that belonged to the Farmers Union Cooperative Association in Sisseton, SD. Today our charter has expanded to include any one who lives, works, or worships within Roberts County, SD, as well as, immediate family members of a current CVFCU member.
Coteau Valley Federal Credit Union offers savings, checking, and CD accounts to all members, as well as, consumer, mortgage, home equity, personal, and share secured loans.
